The API POWERful Women Leadership Program (PWLP)
The PWLP develops the leadership capabilities and skills of 70+ women in the power sector each year through strengthening their understanding of the strategic technical and market issues and leadership challenges associated with transforming the infrastructure and organisations in the sector.
This program is supported by the API's member organisations and the Australian Government's Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet, over $300K+ will be invested each year in activities for the Powerful Women participants which includes part and full scholarships to support participation in the program, mentoring, networking, and career and technical leadership development activities.
Participants can expect a deeper understanding of the industry, mentoring and professional connections, career and leadership development, and STEM outreach opportunities
as part of the year-long program.

For Professionals:
This Professional program builds upon the highly regarded ‘API Summer School’: a 2- week residential technical leadership development program. Professional program participants participate in the full Summer School and additional high level activities.
If you are working in a professional technical role, apply for the Professional Pathway by emailing Emily Marschke to add your name to the 2024 waitlist.
For Graduates and Students:
The student and graduate program includes attendance at the Early Career Retreat held in the final week of the Summer School residential program in Tasmania.
Graduates and young professionals with up to 5 years working experience can apply for the Early Career Pathway (and scholarships) by emailing Emily Marschke to add your name to the 2024 waitlist.
