Well, that’s a wrap for Summer School 2025!

The 2025 API Summer School has officially concluded — and what a milestone year it has been! Held in the heart of Albert Park, Melbourne, from 11 to 23 May, this year’s program brought together 90 incredible participants across our Summer School and Retreat programs, culminating in a special 20th Anniversary Dinner on the banks of Albert Park Lake. 

Summer School continues to represent the best of stepping outside your comfort zone — a two-week deep dive into leadership, strategy, systems thinking, and professional connection. We are immensely grateful to the delegates who dedicated this time away from work, study, and family to take part in such an intense and transformative experience. 

This year’s cohort saw a continued shift towards greater diversity and inclusion, reflecting API’s commitment to building a workforce that better represents the future of the Australian power sector. The calibre — and entertainment value — of presentations reached new heights, with participants impressing across the board in their strategic project solutions and industry engagement. 

The Strategic Project Presentations once again showcased the incredible talent and insight emerging within the sector. Ten teams took on complex, real-world Challenge Questions posed by our Executive Insights speakers — industry leaders at the forefront of Australia’s energy transition. Their final reports and presentations are now available to explore, offering practical ideas and bold thinking for some of the industry’s biggest challenges.

As we reflect on this landmark year for API, we celebrate not just 20 years of Summer School — but the passion, intellect, and collaborative spirit of everyone who made 2025 unforgettable.
