We believe power sector professionals and undergraduates are the best ambassadors for our industry. We have provided a program that supports your companies professionals to inspire school kids and start the student’s understanding of potential careers in the power industry and the importance of the sector and the role it plays in our daily lives. We want your employees to share their experiences, inspire the students with success stories, and explain the real-world problems that our industry is facing and the solutions you are developing.

As an API POWER AMBASSADOR, you or your employee will be supported through the process from finding and getting in touch with a school, to the post presentation follow up and outcomes. We provide training through the API Learning Academy (Thinkific) and offer on-going touch points of encouragement.

How this could link with your company’s internal opportunities:

  • Connect with your community and give back by supporting the next generation of engineers, technicians, and innovators.

  • A power-positive way for employees to use volunteer and community days

  • Direct early careers engagement with feeder high schools for apprenticeships

  • Use both API resources and your companies school STEM engagement activities (National Electricity Week etc)

  • Shape the future workforce by helping API tailor outreach activities to real-world needs.

  • Promote diversity in the industry by representing a wide range of backgrounds, identities, and roles.

Who Can be a Power Ambassador?

Anyone working in or around the power sector—no matter your job title or years of experience. We're especially keen to hear from people:
