During my internship at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), I contributed to two projects. These related to system restart ancillary services and minimum system load. Regarding system restart ancillary services, I - reviewed the previous 2021 system restart standard against the revised 2027 system restart standard, - developed an understanding of the existing AEMO system restart operating procedures and system restart guidelines, and - drafted updated terms of the AEMO system restart guideline to meet the revised 2027 system restart standard. Regarding minimum system load, I - reviewed existing AEMO minimum system load operating procedures for each individual region, and - drafted a combined AEMO minimum system load operating procedure for all regions.
