My best advice would be to take every opportunity that is given to you. I was given the opportunity to work at Energy Queensland up in Cairns (I'm Brisbane based) which was a little daunting at first but turned out to be a really great experience. There is always something to learn and always someone to teach you no matter where you go.
Who am I
Decentralisation of generation and next wave of storage is really exciting. There will be lots of challenges, but also lots of smart people to come up with solutions - I think that will be really exciting to be apart of.
Why I chose a career in power
The power industry is growing, and transforming at a rapid pace. The green transition is bring a whole host of new and exciting projects for someone working in power and I think it is the best place to be as an Engineer. You get to work on exciting, mega scale, ground breaking projects, whilst also contributing towards the necessary energy transition.

What's next?
I have done vacation work for Energy Queensland and Aurecon in the power industry. Throughout my time at Uni I have also taught an introductory engineering course which I have really enjoyed.
