WHO ARE THEY: I’m a highly self-motivated learner who enjoys teaching themselves new skills and sharing their enthusiasm with others – whether it’s about a new programming language or Salsa dance move. At UTAS I’m studying maths, statistics, and physics, of which statistics is my favourite. Recently I completed a summer research project in collaboration with the Migrant Resource Centre, using stochastic modelling to inform management of their short-term accommodation. I hope to pursue a career which offers both challenging, interesting problems, and the opportunity to have a positive impact on society.
